Europe’s Last True Wilderness

Scotland is an enchanted land of rugged mountains, wild coastlines, rolling farmlands, quaint villages and a vast network of islands just waiting to be explored. Land of legends, lore and ancient history, Scotland is Europe’s last true wilderness!

Whether it’s nature, culture, history, luxury or that adrenaline rush you are craving, we curate inspiring travel experiences throughout Scotland’s majestic landscapes.

Enjoy walking and hiking? Mountain biking? Leisurely explore gorgeous glens, ancient forests, coastlines and lochs with your private guide, away from the crowds in off the beaten path locales.

Boating? Fishing? We will charter a private zodiac for the day to explore the multitude of islands on the west coast of Scotland, stopping on uninhabited islands and spotting wildlife.

Sea kayaking? Follow the seals along the wild coastline, or sea kayak to a deserted island to enjoy freshly caught seafood while you “glamp” under the stars in your own private camp.

Foodies? We have you covered! Farm to table is the norm here. Forage for fresh ingredients with an award winning chef and later dine on the day’s finds.

Or perhaps you would enjoy simply spending the day traversing the countryside visiting historical sites (think Outlander!), stepping aboard the famous Harry Potter steam train, meeting real Scots and visiting sleepy villages. For those craving privacy and exclusivity, nothing compares with living like royalty in your own 16th century castle set on the shores of Loch Ness in a stunning 500-acre Highland estate.

Use this as your base for tailor made experiences. Meet “Monster Hunter” Adrian Shine, foremost expert on Loch Ness, or spend the afternoon on a “behind the scenes” whisky or gin distillery tour. These distilleries are not open to the public!

From stays in farmhouses to castles and everything in between, the opportunities for unique experiences are endless in Scotland. Here are a few that are quite simply our favorites!

Swim with the World’s Second Largest Sharks

Bet you didn’t know you could do this in Scotland! The Basking Shark lives off the west coast of Scotland in the Sea of the Hebrides. From July to September, venture from your base in Oban with a local marine biologist and their expert crew on an eco conscious adventure in search of this glorious, plankton eating sea creature that can grow up to 33ft. Snorkel and swim with the basking sharks, and perhaps even spot minke whales, dolphins and porpoises! Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Glamping on a Private Scottish Isle

For those eager to splurge on a bespoke and luxurious adventure, you will journey through Scotland from south to north by helicopter, high speed zodiac and steam train. Bookended by 5-star Castle stays in the Rhinns of Galloway and Whiskey Island, you will head to sea on a privately chartered zodiac to explore the Hebridean Islands. As you travel between islands, apart from sea and bird life, venture ashore to visit a whiskey distillery, ancient monastery, archeological sites and hidden castle gardens. The culmination of the day’s exploration will land you on the Isle of Jura, a small, private Hebridean island – where a concierge team already has a luxury camp ready for you! Following a hot shower, sip a ‘dram’ on the shore and enjoy a delicious dinner under the stars!

Cookery Workshop with Ghillie Basan

Ghillie runs the most remote cookery workshops in the UK, from her cottage in the hills of the Scottish Highlands. Spend the day in her kitchen with utensils and flavors from around the world and herbs and vegetables from her private garden, on a cooking safari! Ghillie is not the chef, but the guide, as you create your own feast of the senses and ‘travel the world’ from her wild corner of Scotland.

An adventure in Scotland isn’t about pushing you to your limits, it’s about structuring your itinerary at a leisurely pace with a focus on rich cultural and nature-based experiences and unique accommodations. We don’t want you to work up a sweat. Instead, with the insider knowledge of your expert guide, experience a side of this rugged and magical land and its people you never thought possible.
