Emily Nelson
europe, family travel, food + wine

Emily’s love for travel began at thirteen, on a trip to London with her dad. It was her first look at how much bigger the world was than the one she knew, and it stuck.

That early spark became something more deliberate in college, when she studied abroad in Prague and spent every free weekend on a train to somewhere new.  Those months across Europe shaped how she travels and what she values: the meal you stumble into and talk about for years, the hotel that feels like somewhere rather than anywhere, the details that turn a trip into the one your family still brings up at dinner.  .

Friends and family started asking her to plan their trips, and she found she loved the work of it as much as the traveling itself. Motherhood didn’t change that. It sharpened it. With an infant and a toddler in tow, Emily has learned the logistics of family travel from the inside out, and she is a firm believer that the passion you had for travel in your twenties should not end when your family grows.

Whether it’s a multigenerational trip where everyone from the toddler to the grandparents has something to look forward to, an adults-only escape built around long lunches and good wine with no eye on the clock, or a friends getaway that’s really about quality time in a beautiful place, Emily is thrilled to be part of getting you there.

favorite travel memory?

It’s hard to choose! We took a family trip to Italy with our five-month-old where we explored every corner of Florence, drank wine and relaxed by the pool in Chianti, and ended the trip with a wedding at the Vatican in Rome.

Another would be the time my mom and I found the mountaintop from the opening scene of The Sound of Music in Austria—we still talk about this every time we are together. Or the ultimate beach vacation to Maui with nothing to do but enjoy the magic of the island.
