In fact, this is a required detail to cover before we get started. In most cases, line-item breakdown on complete itineraries is not possible. There are a multitude of relationships, contracts and negotiated rates involved in a complete itinerary and these rates are confidential.

Our travel planning and management fee starts at $500 for complete itinerary development. This can vary based on complexity, number of travelers and time frame.

We have a spectacular network of trusted villa and residential-style vacation rentals around the world. We do not work with consumer rental sites like VRBO or Airbnb. Rather, we only use accreddited local brokers who personally maintain a portfolio of properties in their destination of expertise. Our non-refundable professional planning and management fee covers a portion of our time spent working together with you to perfectly customize your itinerary, manage booking of all components and professionally manage your trip from start to finish. Our clients enjoy access to exclusive contracted rates and preferred partnership amenities with hotels and other travel suppliers around the world.

We have an intentional and efficient travel planning process, and our travel designers are available during regular business hours. While traveling in most destinations our clients have access to 24/7 support to assist and support throughout the trip.

Essentially, we take care of everything when it comes to planning and booking your family trip. We handle your land arrangements, such as accommodations, ground transfers, and experiential activities.

Videre Travel does not book air. However, we partner with an amazing air desk who book flights for our clients and will put you in touch with them directly if you would like support in booking flights. We also are unable to use your personal miles or loyalty points to book air or hotel.

Credits, refunds, and cancellations are at the discretion of the supplier(s) and not Videre Travel. Videre Travel is not the source or supplier of the travel services requested and acts solely as an agent for the actual suppliers of such services. You are advised that the suppliers whose names appear in the information supplied are those who are responsible for providing the travel services purchased. Videre Travel’s exposure is limited to the amount of commission paid and the company is not responsible for the actions or inactions of suppliers, including if third-party travel supplier financially defaults. ​

We understand that life happens and that you may need to cancel your trip. All cancellations must be advised in writing. At the time of booking, your Travel Advisor will advise you of the cancellation policy of your hotel and/or program. If a cancellation policy has not been provided to you, you are to assume the booking is non-refundable. Cancellation policies vary and are implemented by the supplier. Please verify with your Travel Advisor if you have any questions on the cancellation policy. While you may feel some circumstances warrant leniency on cancellation penalties, it is not for Videre Travel to make this decision. We always recommend travel insurance for this reason.

To protect your investment in your upcoming trip and to protect the health and safety of your family, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for each trip. You will be offered travel insurance at the time of booking. If you decline to purchase, you acknowledge the risks associated and potential financial implications of traveling without insurance coverage.

Should you elect to purchase travel insurance, the terms of the policy will dictate whether, and to what extent, coverage for any financial loss may exist under the circumstances. Please note, traditional travel insurance policies do not cover pandemics or government actions, you must purchase a “Cancel for Any Reason” add on to be covered for these extreme events.

We do not include the cost of any travel or health insurance in our packages or pricing.

The pricing we receive is for the complete trip package, and not a line item breakdown of trip component costs. You will find this is standard industry practice to not have a breakdown of trip component costs because of contracts with our suppliers which stipulate that the rates are confidential. These rates are not public nor available online.

Most contracts stipulate that these negotiated rates are kept confidential and may only be offered as part of a trip package. Violating this can lead to a termination of the contract, and worse, damage the strong, long-standing relationships we have with these partners. It's these relationships that ensure we have access to the best guides, service, priority at the hotels, etc. 

However, we are always flexible and happy to revise an itinerary accordingly if there are some services you would like to adjust as we go through the consultation process.
